Prezi Experience Review
- Of the media artists your peers created presentations on, which one made the most impact on you and why? The artist that Veronica presented on, Witchoria, really stood out to me. I'm a little biased because I always love to read about someone local, but her photosgraphs are really beautiful and explosively emotion but also very subtle. Using a camera of Photoshop was never something that really interested me, and I usually prefer to look at other mediums over photography but Victorias work is really different. I thought it was interesting that she shared so much about her entire process in the video, beginning to end giving a quick version of how she creates her work. She makes it seem so simple and I know it is absolutely not as effortless as she makes it look.
- How did you like the peer review process? Do you find it helpful to give and receive feedback on lesson ideas and constructive criticism? Its defintely helpful to see how peers make their way through the same process and I appreciate comments on my own work. I did have a hard time communicating ideas I had for projects or art lessons, finding words to describe what came to mind when considering a project that might relate to the artist or style they chose. I think it came across somewhat, but would be easier to explain in person, or would need a lot more words and some sketches.
- Now that you created a Prezi presentation of your own and viewed your peers Prezi presentation, what do you think of Prezi as a presentation platform? Do you prefer Power Point or KeyNote (or another presentation tool that you have used)? What are the pros and cons of Prezi? I dont dislike Prezi, but I think it depends on the kind of information that you're sharing I've used Nearpod twice in the past and really like the layout of that platform, its interactive and easy to use and share. It might be something that can be changed and I just havent figured it out yet, I just dont like that after each "slide" on Prezi it always toggles back to the "parent" slide, but if there was a way to skip that and make it flow in one direction I might be more likely to use it again.
